About Us
Established by her family—David, Julie, Justin, and Conner—Caitlyn’s Way Foundation exists to ensure that Caitlyn Mathis' legacy of helping others lives on. Caitlyn had a remarkable passion for serving children, and we are committed to ensuring that her kindness and generosity continue to make a lasting difference.

Remembering Caitlyn Brooke Mathis
Caitlyn was a graduate of Kiefer High School in Oklahoma. Her goal was to return to her hometown to become a teacher. During her nineteen years, she was involved in everything possible—giving her all at basketball, softball, cheerleading, band, FCA, and Student Council.
She attended Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, where she volunteered with youth basketball, mentored local students, and coached at the Boys and Girls Club. Her passion for working with youth, as well as her generosity, were simply radiant.
Cailtyn lived her life centered around her favorite Bible verse, Hebrews 13:16:
“And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.”
Caitlyn’s Legacy
Caitlyn’s legacy is one of profound kindness and compassion. She never met a stranger, treated all people as equals, and always put the needs of others before her own. Her family founded Caitlyn’s Way Foundation to ensure the profound impact she had in her brief time continues on for generations to come. Our name comes from Caitlyn’s mother, Julie, who said, “if you have a choice between doing it one way and doing it Caitlyn’s way, choose Caitlyn’s way.”
We are a 501c(3) nonprofit organization, and we rely on the generosity of our community to continue supporting the causes Caitlyn cared deeply about.
